Massage Therapy
Ellen uses a unique combination of specific work, including neuromuscular therapy and myofascial release, with her other training in body-centered awareness, reflexology, mindfulness, energy work, and basic craniosacral therapy. When more direct methods aren't working, she coaxes the nervous system into calming down so that the other tissues will settle down as well. Ellen encourages you to set your intention for how you would like to feel during and after your session so that you are both clear about your goal.
Her bodywork provides a means of working with the whole self. Ellen can address your stress and pain and help you find that place of comfort where you not only relax but release your pain and feel alive again. Her sessions may appear to be traditional massage, but their depth requires the client’s mindfulness. Ellen’s sessions are done mostly with a mindful quiet to get the most out of the process.

You can also mix and match techniques, adding reflexology or other modalities with traditional massage. Or request to be guided through a body scan to help you let go of the outside world and become more present for yourself before the hands-on work begins.
